Q&A – Getting to Know Each Other Better

Because I have the privilege of experiencing fatherhood and I truly believe it is a stage of life that no one should be forced to miss. Knowing that a single word, diagnosis, or treatment can completely change a person’s life is what led me, many years ago, to dedicate myself to assisted reproduction.

I joined HOPE IVF by direct invitation from Dr. Alejandro Chávez-Badiola, whom I consider the Mexican physician with the greatest international recognition and success in assisted reproduction. Working alongside him has taught me the importance of continuous improvement, thinking outside the box, and simplifying processes without sacrificing quality. At HOPE IVF, developing our own technology translates into better, more consistent results for our patients.

I accompanied a 44-year-old patient to whom I clearly explained that her chances of success were very low. Even so, she decided to move forward, fully aware of the risks, and asked me to support her in the decision we would make together. We obtained a single egg, a single embryo… and a positive pregnancy test. That experience changed the way I conduct consultations today. I now focus on clearly explaining all options, risks, and possibilities, and on fully supporting the decision each patient makes—even when the prognosis is not ideal.

Positive results—and above all, when patients send me photos of their babies. Being part of those stories is an indescribable feeling and what reminds me every day why I chose this path.
